issue syncing google contacts (business) to iphone

Greetings,

I have a google apps for business account and I imported 250 contacts.  In google contacts these show e-mail address, home phone, work phone and mobile phone in the proper fields.

My iphone is set to sync contacts using active sync (exchange) and these contacts came to the phone right away but without the phone info. Only the name and e-mail address synced to the phone.

I reviewed the setup instructions for syncing and it looks correct.  I am not that familiar with google apps to know if this is normal.  Hopefully not.

Any advice on syncing the contacts more fully will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much,

Sky

I just found that if I change a phone number from one of my imported contacts from work to mobile, (or change anything about the contact) the phone number syncs through immediatly.

So it is just the initial data that didn't sync the phone numbers, but in general phone number sync is working.

Any ideas.?

thank you

I figured it out.  I noticed in testing that when I would change a phone number by cutting it out and then pasteing it back in that the field name would revert to Home, Work or Mobile.  I had imported using Phone Type Home Phone, Work Phone or Mobile Phone.

So I deleted all the contacts, fixed my import file so the types were Home, Work or Mobile and reimported the contacts.  When I added them into My Contacts group they all synced properly.
