Video driver issue

I have a viewsonic a70f+ (I think) monitor. Ran a piece of software that changed the video driver. Now it's stuck at the lowest resolution with 4 colors and states that the video controller can't handle the driver so it picks one at random.  I tried installing the correct driver, but the system ignores my attempts. How can I eliminate the bad driver so I can install the correct one?

Thanks for your help!

Can you uninstall the video driver? Completely remove it using something like Driver Sweeper.

What is your video card? What driver did you install? And what one are your trying to revert back to?

You should log into safe mode, open device driver, delete the device and alow it to refind and reload the driver. if it asks you to use the bad driver, select cancel and download the correct one and load it.

I found a way to delete the current driver.  It then found its own driver...the correct one. Thanks for your help!
