win 2008 server convert

Hi,
currently sbs2008 server is physical server and planning to covnert it into VM.
ESXi host version : 4.1

so far did some tests- converted live sbs 2008 server into VM (P2V) and it was successfully converted and loaded into host.
We can run the VM and log in but many services are not running like unable to open IE, exchange server is not working and so many other features.
In SBS2003 (win 2k3 server) we didn't face any such problem.

Anything we need to consider to make this work- we have also converted additional drives and it doesn't allow to change the drive letter on VM.

To test it can we enable network having 2 SBS server on same network? offcourse it does have same name and sid.

Please let me know how to resolve this issue so that we can convert SBS2008 server into VM

THanks

Your conversions do not appear to have worked successfully, you should have a Virtual Machine which is indentical to the physical machine, after conversion.

When we convert Live VMs, we make sure all the Services are Stopped and set to Manual, after the conversion on the VM, we then start the services and set to Automatic.

Thanks Hanccocka, when you say all the services - what are the services we need to be focused and stopped?
If we restore from acronis backup (tib) into VM do we get same problem? off course backup image will have services in running (Started) mode.

Thanks

at least exchange Services, but as many as you can Stop!

Same with Acronis.
