Hello,

It's an dedicated server with the remote desktop x2Go that works but:

I see only the desktop and I can only do right click for create new directory

The system do not ask me login!!!

The precedent message before reboot :

Do you want to delete the applet on the configuration?

I said no.The panel encountered a problem during the loading of WinckletFactory:WorkspaceSwitcherApplet

But when i reboot, the system do not ask me the question.

I can only see the desktop, and i can only create directory and change backgroud image (with right click)

What can i do?

What i have done before the problem:

I have buy a privated server (dedicated server) with Ubuntu 12.04 "Precise Pangolin" LTS + x2go .

The access with x2Go works.

But i followed a tutorial for Ubuntu 12.04 Server in order to have php, mysql, server ftp
(http://blog.logicdesign.be/setup-of-a-kimsufi-dedicated-server-ubuntu-12-04-precise-pangolin/)

i have enter this command in order install package:

sudo aptitude update
sudo aptitude dist-upgrade

I tried to install GRUB on the sda, but i doesn't work, and i was forced to not install the grub

the  update ends
and when i reboot , i have this error:

The panel encountered a problem during the loading of WinckletFactory:WorkspaceSwitcherApplet

i can access the menu of desktop How do i do ?
