I dont have much experience with RAID cards, and Im trying to get this dell 2850 to boot up, I have 5 drives in two are online, I just need the system to boot so I can install server 8, dont  care whats on the drives.

As of right now, it's boot saying hit config m to config raid card or any button to proceed, if proceed then it boots to PXE, why not CD? I checked in BIOS cd is first.

ideas?

Boot to CTRL-M, Configure, View/Add ... if asked between Disk and NVRAM, choose Disk - if the RAID layout is ok (any RAID will do), then save on exit.  You could also just clear the config (after above with View/Add), then create (and initialize) a new one.

Does your system have a DVD drive?  If it is only CD, then your "server 8" DVD will not work (you could do USB though).
