Google Maps API v3 - need to have two different colored icons

Hi there,
I have made a page for some icons on a webpage but now they want them in two groups with each group being a different color (for now).  Simple and quick would be appreciated.

If it's easier to know where this is going...
Later, they will want the five data points to have three different colored icons pointing to the same location...a slant left, straight up, and slant right.
