I am attempting to register my LAP 1600 with my WLC 2504. I am having an issue. For one I have configured as best I can. The way the WLC and LAP is setup currently is as follows;

LAP 1600 <----> L3 Cisco Switch vlan 10 <----> WLC2504. There is a DHCP on that vlan and its just straight layer 2 from the LAP and WLC.

The firmware version on the WLC is 7.0.220.0

LAP I am not for sure of.

You need to upgrade the code on the WLC to at least V7.3
The version you have (7.0.220.0) doesn't know about the 1600 AP so it won't join, ever!
