windows 2003 dfs r2 - compatability & file server query
hi i have a windows 2003 domain and have in the passed setup dfs that was part of the os.
what i wanted to know is that after whatching some video, it stated that the windows 2003 r2 dfs has far more features than the old version of windows 2003.
qns1. is it compatable with windows 2003 standard & where can i download it ?
qns2. if i have a files server running on a separate machine to my master dc, but then decide i want to run a 'dfs version', would i need to first remove the file server or what exactly ?

Don't know where you would. I can't recall the last time I installed 2003... Though it should be available on Technet for Eval/testing purposes. (I think, I haven't looked).
