Hi,

I have just started to use Trilead VM Explorer for my VM Backup on VMware ESXi adn are loving it, both for my free esxi sites as well as paid ones.

Can anyone share any Pros and Cons between VM Explorer and Veeam B&R, i have used Veeam for quiet some time both free and paid version but the biggest downside on Free version is i have to shut Vm down to do where Vm Explorer i can leave VM running

Look forward to seeing your opinions

Thanks Adam

Veaam Backup and Replication is the Worlds Best VMware Backup product, used by many VMware Admins.

You should not need to shutdown any VMs to Backup withnVeeam.

Are you using ESXi free edition?

You options are limited when you use the FREE version of ESXi.

see my EE Article

VMware ESX/ESXi Backup Guide

for approx $500, you would be better purchasing licenses for your FREE versions of ESXi.

Thanks for all of this, might be worth you reviewing Trilead VM Explorer as well as it will backup ESXi Free Edition (no Licence Required)

you can also even use the free version of VM Explorer just cant schedule jobs but it is still very cheap compared to others if you go down the track of Purchasing Licence
