Citrix published application

Dear all,

We have a XenApp 6.0 (or 6.5) in place.  We have Excel 2010 and a Document Management in place.  The user work with published applications, e.g. they do not use a full desktop.

We have a strange behaviour with Excel:

When a user launches the Document Management System and opens an Excel File from there (without opening Excel first) the Excel Spreadsheet opens.  Then the User opens another Excel Sheet from the DM.  The Excel Spreadsheet opens but there is not a separate Icon in the Taskbar, so the user cannot switch between the Spreadsheets.

This is very annoying, any tips how to resolve this?
