Flow control and Lacp status

Hi all,

Can somebody please explain me what is flow control in hp switches and why and when i should configure it...
Also what is Lacp Status..

FYI : i have configured two ports as a LACP that connects to my backup server as a team ..

Lacp is link aggregation to connect more than one wire to another switch (or a server). This will not increase the speed of one connection but it will give you more overall speed if the computer has multiple connections.
Flow control is used when you have megabit stuff on a gigabit network, the switch can pause frames so as not to go too fast. If turning this off doesn't cause problems, I usually leave it off. It can cause problems when on sometimes. But in your environment you may need it on, there is no rule here.

Very Much clear about LACP but still i am confused with flow control.

Would you mind explain this stuff bit more if possible with examples...
 It can cause problems when on sometimes?   I didn't get this part as well..what kind of issue it will cause?
