You need to use VPN. IP Communicator was not designed to use open ports through a firewall. For that matter, I dont think the UC series supports off-site phones. It'll work, but I dont think its supported.

I thought it would be possible since there is Cisco Jabber for Droid and Iphone

FYI..................Cisco TAC told me today the following phone is supported for remote.....using the VPN

I think the 7945/65s are also supported since they have a built in VPN client. You might to check in those too
