Current Environment: MS SQL Server 2008R2 AND SSIS

I have source data that I will bring in to a new table as the destination.  However,  I find there are anamolies with the data.  What are my options for performing the data cleanse within SSIS or best solutions.

I need to align data formatting and spelling.

E.g.

U.S.A to USA
LN. to Lane
Balk rd to Baulk Road
