My wordpress front page blog excerpts don't seem to show the spaces between paragraphs (I have the excerpt length set to 200).  And I'd like to show the images from the post in the excerpt too.  Is this a code change I need to make or maybe a plugin will help.  How can I do this?  wp 3.5

Excerpts have all HTML stripped out by default so that's why no line breaks or images show up.

If you want that back, you can do it by adding code to functions.php but be aware that it can play heck with archive listings that also have a Featured Image.

Yep, that does it too.  I prefer a function-based solution for this particular task due to the overhead involved though.
