I have a HP Proliant GL380 Gen 6, for the past couple of days the hard drive 0 and 5 have been giving a Predictive Failure. HP had me replace both drive looking like they were fine then both had the Predictive Failure again so they had me update the backplane firmware and reset the maintenance switch with no luck. Now they are having me change out he SPS-BACKPLANE,SAS board. Has anyone had this problem with this server?

If you post an ADU report *as attachment* we might spot the problem.

"read errors hard" are high on both of those drives, and I would suspect HP sent out faulty replacments. I suppose it could be dodgy power to the drives through the backplane but I'd like to see at least one of them replaced again before beibg sure.

Just checked and for disk I1:1 (that you're calling disk 0)

read errors hard since reset = 0
read errors hard from factory = 0x0000017c

That means that if you haven't powered it off since HP sent them to you then that drive was supplied faulty assuming you did replace the right one.

Thank you for all the input we ended up buying a new server and moving the data to that server.
