Can a item in List Content Type be used in a document library?

You can not use a List Content Type inside a document library as a content type.

List have one special List Content type, same as list Library has also DocumentLibaray type content type.

Does that require SP2010 / Infopath, because I do not have one.

it would be not possible to use list item as a content type in document library in MOSS 2007
