Boot page

What does the boot page contain and why it's being used?If it's not present, what will be the problem?

AnujSQL Server DBACommented:
A boot page is page 9 in file 1 of each database, this has critical information about the database like last good DBCC run time, Log Reuse details, Last backup time, database version information along with other details. If this page goes corrupted, database will not start-up the only option you left with is to do a database restore.
i ve have some doubt, so currently reading some books to read and will come back to this answer
