Hi to All of you,
Could you please let me know what you think of Bacula Enterprise as a backup system.
http://www.baculasystems.com/

Is it difficult and complext to manage compared to Symantec backup exec or commonvault ?

We are going to prepare a tender and we would like to know if this is a valid alternative to the previous mentioned.

Thank you
Carlettus

I use the open source version bacula for tape backup of two mediaum servers, one has 14TB and the other 8TB; the 8TB one with a SCSI attached Overland Neo and the 14TB with a FC-AL attached Overland Neo

The learning curve is steeper than BackupExec , NetVault, or Presstore, but I've found it reliable and stable.
