HP ProLiant ML310G4 array?

I have a old HP ProLiant ML310G4 that I'm trying to rebuild. One of the harddrive array is shot and I've replaced it. I'm replacing all of them with new harddrives and now I'm having trouble setting up the arrays. The system doesnt seem to see all 3 new disks on the hp embedded sata raid controller software

One of the disks has a LED lit, that doesn't happen if they are connected to the embedded SATA controller, therefore there is some sort of PCI controller in it. That means you are using the wrong setup program.

Try booting the SmartStart CD and under maintenance select the ACU and see if that detects a Smart Array controller.

Most likely though it has HP 8 Internal Port SAS HBA with RAID. Manual for that is at http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00503629/c00503629.pdf . If it has that card you should see "Press F8 to start LSI Logic Configuration Utility" during POST. (it's an LSI card rather than a Smart Array controller).
