Exchange 2003 - Mobile sync stopped working for two users

We have two users whose phone stopped working suddenly after a server reboot. No updates were performed. I'm not sure why the server was rebooted though.

All other users work fine except for these two users. Tried different phones as well and no luck. OWA and Outlook work fine for these users and Outlook Mobile Access is enabled for the users as well. Not too familiar with Exchange 2003.

I don't see any errors relating to the issue.

Ideas on what I should check?

Please check the problem accounts inherited permissions as per my article:

Ignore the exchange version!

The permissions were already being inherited.

Okay - wasn't sure if that would be the reason, but worth ruling out.

Can you please run the Activesync test on https://testexchangeconnectivity.com and post the results for one of the problem users.

Specify manual server settings so that you don't try to use Autodiscover.

It was permissions but down deeper on in AD. Sadly I do not recall exactly where it was for the changes I made.
