Hi,

I am attempting to connect a users Outlook to a sharepoint calendar and am getting the attached error message when I try to add an appointment from Outlook.

The user has "contribute" permissions and is able to add/edit/delete/etc...when accessing the calendar in the browser.  I am able to connect outlook and outlook populates all current appontments, however, I get the attached error, " you do not have permission ......" when I try to add, edit or delete an appointment.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

John

The site has a certificate - it has an https://  I don't understand the internal/external URL but when doing the intial setup I am asked  "do you want to connect to....."  and the address given is the same as that in the web browser.

Go to Alternate access mapping and check with the zone. In which zone is your web application located. Your https site should be in default zone if you want to outlook to work with sharepoint. Internal and external is nothing but if u can access sharepoint site outside of your network then it is external and the viceversa is internal.
