Hi, I have come into a shop that moved servers to a new building. I am unable to start the BES and get event id 20000 in the logs.
BB ver 4.1.4.3 on Win2K3 server. Exchange running on a Win2K8 server
The logs on the BB box complain about BB Exchange connector, Policy service and Sync service failures. I had to change the BES admin passwd but have also changed it for all the services and still get a passwd error when manually attempting to start the BB Router service in Win Services.
The Exchange server runs on another box, and all services are good there and it Rx/Tx email fine.

Any tips?

That is a very old version of BES.
The usual reason I see for this kind of failure is related to JAVA. My instinct would be to shutdown the BES services, remove whatever JAVA is installed, then install the latest service pack for BES 4.1.x. That will install a compatible version of JAVA as well.

Thanks I tried that and it didnt work. I did manage to start all the required services using my account rather than besadmin (3 services gave logon failures as bes admin).
Users are not receiving email on device howerer Connection service is up and running with a zeros in stats. On the Home tab the Forwarded message counter increments when i sent a user an email.

Not using the same account is going to cause you problems. Therefore start with that.
Reset the password on the account and then change the services and restart them.
