Lenovo ThinkPad W700 laptop memory upgrade

hello i was going to upgrade

LENOVO 2758A18 ThinkPad W700

i purchased 8x2=16Gb of RAM

DDR3 8Gb-1333SODIMM
&
DDR3 8Gb-1333SODIMM

every time i insert new RAM --- laptop beeps ...

basically it rejects the memory .... i checked it if fits fine! it is all good! the lid is closed too!

i was wandering maybe this type of laptop itself cannot use 16Gb of RAM ?

im installing windows 7 -- 64 bit for a new RAM as well ....

That laptop is limited to 8gb max,
