Connect 2 Windows7 PCs in a network

Dear experts,

Anyone has a quick setup guide of how to network 2 Windows7 computers together please? The plan is to link the two together via the router.

I have done this with XP computers before but not Win7 but I guess  it is something similar? I don't know what editions are the 2 Win7 PCs but does it matter if they are HOME editions?

Thanks in advance for help.

Here is the great resource. You can start from step 3.
Basically, connect both machines to your router and they should automatically aquire DHCP address from it.

Once you can ping both machines, you can setup Home Network on one of the machines and connect the other to that Home Network for easier sharing of file and print services.
