Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2
Blackberry Enterprise Server Express for Microsoft Exchange
BlackBerry Version 5.0.2 (Bundle 14)
Java version V6 Update 31

My question is can I update the version of Java on my BES server?

I am sure I have read that to run the BES it needs to be at the above version.

I require to upate the Version to V7 U11 due to our security policy.

Advise would be great.

Hi bransby_IT,

You can update the Java version but don't uninstall the existing version. If the BES stops functioning correctly then there is a registry key that can be edited to point to the newer version of Java.

Regards,

Mike
