How can I prevent emails being marked as read by a delegated user on Exchange 2003?.

The boss needs to keep track of emails unseen by him but his PA still need full access. Some emails are being missed simply because his PA gets to read them first and they've been marked as read.

Also, would it make any difference if the Boss was using his iPad and the PA Outlook?

views are stored at server level.. you cant change it..

but you can set view settings on PA's outlook like mails should be read if it is only opened in a separate window. you can request PA to read w/o opening in a new window, he still read in reading pane.

Well, at least that second option of yours helps the boss. Now we need a way for the PA to keep track of the emails she has read. Is there a way to create a rule to use flags to indicate which emails the PA has read?
