Hi,

I have installed Netbackup 6 on Windows 2003 and able to backup files from other Windows 2003 server.
I am unable to connect to server with Windows 2008 R2. The error I am receiving is ‘Cannot connect on socket’ and ‘unable to connect to Netbackup host’

Firewall is switched off.

Please advise.

Thanks.

Netbackup 6 is not compatible with Windows Server 2008. You have to upgrade to version 7.0 for the product to work with it.

Sorry, I meant 6.5
Here is a link to the support matrix. You will see on page 29, you have to be on version 6.5.2
