SharePoint 2010 Team Site - Can I give a user access to only one list on a Team Site?

I created a Sharepoint 2010 Teamsite for a project.

There are 5 document libraries within it.

I want to create a new document library that is for our company and a partnering company.

I dont want them to have access to the other Libraries though.

I can't seem to make this work.

You can have unique permissions on libraries and lists if you need to.  Navigate to the Library, then in the ribbon click Library - Library Permission.  In here you can "stop inherriting permissions", and modify them as needed.

library permissions
