Import SSL from another server on Exchange 2013

Hi

I just took off an old Exchange 2007 running on a Windows 2003 and replace it with a Exchange 2013 running on Windows 2012.
The 2013 is a brand new and the internal domain is also different but the external domain still the same.
I had a certificate from godady for the old exchange server mail.mydomain.com
The new exchange get acess via the same URL mail.mydomain.com and the old certificate has the proper info on. I have the crt file but Exchange 2013 does not allow me to import it.
Any idea how I can do this without creating a certificate request and complete it after.

go to the certificate store on the old server

MMC.exe - certificates - computer  [this computer]

Personal - look for the cert you need right and export.

export with private key -  enter a password - savea .pfx file to a location, then import that pfx on the new server.
