My Mini MAC has a CD ROM drive and my Win7 PC does not.  I need to install some software on the PC and so I am trying to work out how to share the Mini MAC's CD ROM drive across the net work with the PC and I am not able to work out how to do it.

The Mini MAC is a 2007 version and the Win7 is the Professional version running on an Intense PC.

How can I do this, Experts?

Windows uses Samba for its networking. You need to configure the SMB service in osx

Theres a pretty good guide over here

SMB Networking on MAC Mini

The basic steps are, identify the folders you want to share
Create a symbolic link to them to a directory called /network

then configure the smb.conf to open its own internal firewall of sorts, and setup the authentication scheme

Restart the mac, or the smb service and you should be hot to go
