Issues with APC UPS SUA-2200IA

Hey Guys,

I am having an issue with an APC UPS Model Number: SUA-2200IA. It does not supply power to the devices connected to it. Instead it the LEDs blink as shown in the picture attached. I am suspecting the batteries but I need confirmation. Can i get some help here.

Yes, it is most likely the batteries.

Power down everything safely, PUT ON EYE PROTECTION, and visually inspect the batteries for leaking or swelling.

Be sure to keep a can or bottle of Coke handy to neutralize any acid spills.  Coke is a base and will reduce any damage due to battery acid leaks.

Replaced the batteries and still nothing. Any further suggestions?

If replacing the batteries didn't resolve the issue then it looks like the unit itself is bad.  At this point your options are eitehr pay to have it serviced or replace it.

Most of the time it is the batteries but like all things circuits do wear out too and go bad.

Hey ScottCha.

Thanks for your response. I got in touch with APC and they have recommended that I take the UPS to the closest APC centre. Claim that there could be a main board fault. I shall close this without a solution but award you a few points for effort.

I have been adviced by APC to take this UPS to an APC centre for diagnosis.
