Sharepoint 2010 RTM on Windows 2008 R2 using IE8, Chrome and FF as a client.

We have a teamsite setup and on the home page for the teamsite there is a shared docs webpart.  In that webpart there are files listed that no longer exist in the library and there are also files in the library that are not listed in the webpart.  If I click the title of the webpart "Shared Docs" to open the library full screen, then I see the current file list as it should be.

How can I make the webpart show the current list of files?  It is almost like it is showing a cached view and I need to somehow update the cache.

Hello,

edit the web part and under "Miscellaneous" check the "Data View Caching Time-out". By default the Data View Caching is enabled with a time-out of 86400 seconds. Does your web part show the same?

cheers, teylyn

Edit the page, edit the web part by clicking in its upper right hand corner and selecting "Edit Web Part". Then see the web part panel on the right. The last option is "Miscellaneous".

The problem fixed itself, but I'll give you points for trying to help.
