Outlook not recieving attachments from a user

HI I am trying to troubleshoot why a particular external email account when sending me an email with picture attachments is not coming through properly. The email comes in ok with no obvious alerts or warnings but the attachments seemed to be stripped.

I have done the following

1. Check spam filter, confirmed not spam filter as I can send an email with the same attachments using my external email address and it flows in with the attachments intact.
2. Check if the email address is being blocked and confirmed it is not.

Any one have any ideas?

I am running exchange 2010 and outlook 2010

Can you have the user restart outlook using


Start>RUn>Outlook.exe /safe

then have the external sender resend

If the attachment arrives the issues likely related to an add in
We can then look at disabling

Also check the users pc to see if they have any Anit Virus/Anti Spam, or malware detection security apps installed

If they do disable them completly and test

If it comes through, you may need to disable its outlook integration so its not blockign the users attacments from the sender
