We have a SBS2008 server standard.
I know that TS cannot be added to a sbs2008 without adding another server and run TS on that to connect to the SBS2008.
This seems a very expensive solution, can anyone kindly suggest another inexpensive way for one or two people to access a database and large excel/word  files without using VPN (which somestime seems to corrupt the files.)
Is Sharepiont that comes with SBS2008 a safe alternative?
Thanks
Sam

The simplest option, without buying servers etc, is to use VPN, BUT, once connected to VPN, RDP to a spare workstation (per user).

This will give the speed of using TS sessions and will avoid the corruption issue (as the programs are being run locally on the workstation).
