I have an OpenLDAP server that only displays the first 500 users. Any ideas on why this is the case?

This is possibly an artifact of size_limit in config.php

In OpenLDAP the server will return the first 500 entries by default. You can control that with the -z option on the ldapsearch program, or by setting the limit in PHP via the command ldap_set_option, option LDAP_OPT_SIZELIMIT (http://www.php.net/manual/de/function.ldap-set-option.php)

Ended up using Apache Directory Studio to manage LDAP instead of the web app. It's more secure as I only permit access to specific users and do not have to expose LDAP with a web app. (which is apparently riddled with security bugs, at least the version we were using...)

Thanks everyone for the help.

The other options did not provide sufficient information for resolving the issue and seemed to be more dependent on specific versions of OpenLDAP.
