filling in data until data breaks

Please see the attached document.  I am hoping to come up with a more automated way of filling in data gaps in a spreadsheet.  It's an abbreviated version of a much large spreadsheet, but I drew some arrows in there explaining what i would like to be able to do.
Basically column A has heading data but when the heading data is the same for the next row of data the headings drop of the subsequent rows, but I need it to fill in. Currently I am going through and copying the cell contents down until i get to the next data set, but I am not sure I will live long enough to do it this way. LOL

Thanks

Here is a macro if you wish

Sub fillwithuppercells()
ActiveSheet.UsedRange.Columns(1).SpecialCells(xlCellTypeBlanks).FormulaR1C1 = "=r[-1]c"
End Sub
