I had office 2010 installed tried the upgrade, that froze as well. I completely removed office 2010 using the fix it tool, now trying to install a full version, also froze about 80% complete.  I have my AV disabled, what else? Way to go Microsoft.

I'll take this a setup further and tell you I even tried to install on a different computer same results.

This isnt the preview version, this is the live full version bought 1/29

You might want to look in the event logs for some clues.  You sound like you have done all the correct steps.

You might want to just make sure it is hung, and not just taking a while.  Best to look at running processes and see if there is any activity on the installer processes.

I have read articles indicating that the install can be a 3+ hour process, depending upon one's Internet connection.  Are you installing with Windows 7 or Windows 8?

Here's the latest "known problems" list:

OK had to call into MS support for this one, this is what I found , if 2013 32 bit hangs around 80% with no errors shown, try this:

1. kill the windows firewall services
2. kill the print spooler services
3. go into msconfig  and disable start up programs

this is what resolved my case

IT, Stop Being Called Into Every Meeting

Highfive is so simple that setting up every meeting room takes just minutes and every employee will be able to start or join a call from any room with ease. Never be called into a meeting just to get it started again. This is how video conferencing should work!
