Avaya IP-phone not working
I have a couple of IP-phones being added to our PBX. My network is segmented, but I do not have a voice Vlan. for some reason when the phone is plugged in, all it reads is:
12x0 IP Desktphone
Manual configuration
Avaya
... start DHCP ....
Loading BootC ....
Connecting to server...

the phone is booting and getting an IP address, but is unable to connect to the phone system. If you connect a PC to that VLAN/Subnet, is there are route to the phone system ?

I was able to get the phone load after rebooting the Phone system. Now I get a prompt asking for the Set ID?
What phone system is it ?
By set ID - is it asking you to enter the extension number you want to use? That is the normal login process once it finds the server - extension ID and password.
