Column Headers repeated on each page in design and run mode but not when exported to excel in SSRS 2008

I'm trying to keep tablix column headers repeating on each new page of an SSRS 2008 report. If I click on Print View in BIDS for a report, having set what I believe are the right options in the static advanced mode properties, they appear as expected in preview mode. If I then export to excel, for sheets that go over one page, the column headers do not repeat. How do I fix this please or is it a bug with the Excel exportation?
