Microsoft Windows Sharepoint Service 3.0 User Alert

Hello Experts,
      Actually, I have WSS3.0, and a user alert has been set before for one of list, at the moment, I have removed this alerts, however the user is still receiving alert Emails. So is there any way I could get hand in this.

Have you restarted the sharepoint services?

I would just try restarting all of them

Windows sharepoint services administration
windows sharepoint services timer
windows sharepoint services tracing

I have restarted all services, Unfortunately,  it didn’t work.

Remove the user from sharepoint then add back in
