Hi,
I am trying to do  somthing described in this Blog:
DAX Queries in Excel 2013 : using ROLLUP to cover some UNION scenarios
But I dont't know where could I insert the dax-query.
I have made a linked tabel.
And tried:
Measure:
Measure 1:=SUMMARIZE(Games;[Player 1])

Open in new window

... Error
Column:
=SUMMARIZE(Games;[Player 1])

Open in new window

...Error
In the excel sheet I could not find SUMMARIZE function.

Is that only possible in Excel 2013
or is that only possible with sql server?

See the previous article here: http://thedataspecialist.wordpress.com/2012/07/20/dax-queries-in-excel-2013/
for the how-to part of using the DAX query. Yes, this only works in Excel 2013.
