motion detection program for pc (to monitor a window or an area on a window)

Hi, at my work we have a cheap security camera system (manufactured by Lorex) and its hooked up to our router and I would like my pc to make an audio tone if someone drives into the parking lot. It is ok if it is not 100% accurate and gives a false alarm every once and a while, because I would not be using it every day, I would only be using it when I am expecting someone after hours (so I can set it and when they pull in I will hear it beep so I can go unlock the door). In my work area I can not hear the door if they knock, so an audio tone would be great if I can figure out a program to do that.

Below is a screen shot of what the web login looks like.

The cam with the red box has a pretty good overview of the lot, so if I could find some program to monitor the colors and if a major change is noted it would beep. I can maybe put in the xy cordanates that I want to monitor if it is an option.

Or I can make that cam (circled in red) take the full window for better monitoring posably. Does anyone know of such a program?

are you sure that the current camera software your using doesn't already have a motion detection setting?

Can you provide the details on what Lorex camera system you have?

I was looking for the papers that came with the system and the only paper I can find is a quick start pamphlet and it says its lorex cvc6930r "series". I know it had an instruction manual (which would have the model number I am sure) but it went MIA. I found this on the website- http://www.lorextechnology.com/support/self-serve/Lorex+Discontinued+Products+Download/2700037 its listed in the security cameras section, but I still can not find a full manual, just the quick start guide even on the site.

Tomorrow I am going to ask my co workers where the full manual is because I know it came with one.

I know it can be configured to be motion activated, but I assume that would only be for recording. Maybe I am wrong though?
The motion detection in most camera systems can also be used to play an audio file and be run on a schedule to only play it after a certain time of day.

I see what you mean with Lorex support site and available manuals.

What type of DVR do you have these cameras connected to? Is it also from Lorex?
This is the only info beyond the Quick Start Guide I have found:

Specs show it is capable of doing what you want:

Recording modes: Continuous, motion, alarm
Pre Recording: Max. 10 seconds
Post Recording :Max. 255 seconds
Alarm Recording: Programmable per camera
