Picasa effect with YUI

I'm trying to create a gallery where images can be rearranged by dragging.  When you pause over two other images they separate to make room for the image you want to insert between them.  Google does this with Picasa and Windows 7 does it with the icons in the task bar.

Has anyone seen or done something like this with YUI?

Thanks,
Steve

YUI3, YUI2.  I don't care.  I looked through their examples but didn't see anything like this.

I can see that the image elements are probably going to have absolute positioning and that the drag operation is going to have be able to sense the current position of the image being dragged with respect to other images in the window, and change the absolute position of those other images as well as the one being dragged.

I just know someone somewhere has worked this all out and I'd like to start where they left off, if possible.

I think you need to slide both of the images respectively to the left and to the right once the dragged image is over. For example if you set each image in a div and set each as droppable, you can receive an event and slide them to the left or to right
