I have two customers at present who use their ipads as their main computer and have a Windows pc for when they need to print something, we have tried quite a few apps both free and trial but without success, they are using Brother and HP printers, the Brother is not on the Apple "approved" list for air print but the HP is, many of the apps promise to work with any printer but don't. We don't mind paying for an app if we know it will work but it seems to be a bit of a lottery. These are the main ones that we've tried so far, Brother iprint and scan, ican-print, print agent, printer pro and hp eprint. The HP printer worked one time only with HP eprint wirelessly but will only work now by using the HP printer's email address rather than the wireless connection, the only thing it can print now is an email message and it has never been able to print webpages at all
Thanks for your help

make sure you get the multi network one, allowed me to connect a iPad to a old HP 4300 Laser Printer.

Hi R_Edwards thanks for the suggestion but I'm looking for an app, the device you recommended would cost more than a replacement printer with air print capability plus it's not available in the UK yet. Thanks for trying though :-)

my appologies..

have you tried running a program like Printopia or FingerPrint on your computer that will share its printer as AirPrint over WiFi.  They both are reported to work well.  However your computer must be on and awake any time you want to print.

I realize you want an app, but the AirPrint is truly the best printing "app" on the ipad.

hope you find what you are looking for.

-=Cheers
