IE8 / 9 on Windows 7 with/without Protected Mode
Windows 7 computer.
Had IE9 - Reverted to IE8
Have scrubbed it for parasites and found hardly any even though the system had to AV protection when I got it. It does now of course...
I've given it a pretty good scrub but not the "acid test" variety yet. So, I guess that always a possibility .. but if that were the case then I'd usually have found quite a few using the "normal" methods with Malwarebytes, etc. etc. Used RogueKiller too.
I installed Chrome and it works fine.
But, if IE8 has Protected Mode turned on then pages load at a snail's pace - I mean REALLY slowly.
So I'm casting about looking for why this would be happening. I've never seen this kind of behavior over a LOT of computers.....
Why isn't IE on the Topics list here???
