Windows 7 computer.<br />
Had IE9 &nbsp;- Reverted to IE8<br />
Have scrubbed it for parasites and found hardly any even though the system had to AV protection when I got it. &nbsp;It does now of course...<br />
I've given it a pretty good scrub but not the &quot;acid test&quot; variety yet. &nbsp;So, I guess that always a possibility .. but if that were the case then I'd usually have found quite a few using the &quot;normal&quot; methods with Malwarebytes, etc. etc. &nbsp;Used RogueKiller too.<br />

I installed Chrome and it works fine.<br />
But, if IE8 has Protected Mode turned on then pages load at a snail's pace - I mean REALLY slowly.<br />

So I'm casting about looking for why this would be happening. &nbsp;I've never seen this kind of behavior over a LOT of computers.....<br />
