jquery drag and drop help

I need to implement drag and drop functionality. I am a new to drag and drop.

So on the left hand site I will have a draggable list of items , on the right hand side i will have a drappable area which will consists of the droppable area where a can drag the items from the left hand side.

Once the item from the left was drop in to the right I need to insert into the database and redraw the right hand side

Please help

This is more of a proof of concept than anything else.  You would want to break aspect of this out in to functions instead of having all of the logic within the start/stop events.

But, here is my two cents: Drag and Drop using JQuery UI - proof of concept
