Script/program to automatically save all LINKED files to in an email to a certain directory.

There is a freeware called Gearmage that allows download of all email attachment to pre-selected locations based on criteria like subject line contents, etc.  I wonder if the same thing can be devised through script/code to download not attachments, but linked files in the body of emails.  Any help is appreciate!

An Email is an text file which you can pase via curl and then preg_match via php the url components in the email. It is sort of a screenscraping of an email, you just need to open that email locally on your filesystem, store the text in a variable and then search for the url components in that email.
