Joomla 3.0 adding slash marks in Site Title

This is an odd one...I have a site where the Title of the site starts with Sellano's.

Each time I save the Global Configuration after making a change Joomla adds a forward slash to the site title just before the 's in Sellano's so the site title eventually looks like Sellano//////////////////'s.

Does this mean that the apostrophe can't be used in a site title?

I'm not saying it can't be done (yet), but it might not be a good idea for SEO purposes. Also, many browsers do not deal with apostrophe's very well.

That being said, in trying to nail down this issue - Can you give a few more details
about which version of Joomla ?
and are you on apache or IIS server?

I have tried putting in the quotes and slash on Joomla 3.0 am getting a security error... I will investigate some more.

The version is 3.0 on a Linux running Apache and the apostrophes were being changed to backslashes when saving the document or settings. The issue was because the server had the "magic_quotes_gpc" PHP setting set to On. After changing it the problem was solved.

Thanks for trying to assist.
