Outlook 2007 auto replies

Hi,

I have a shared mailbox where I have set up an auto reply in the 'rules and alerts' optons.

It has worked well for a while but recently I've been having some problems.

The is where someone (or a Company) has a similar setup to us.
THerefore we receive the email. auto reply, then they auto reply, then we suto reply. Hopefully you can see where I'm going with this.

Other than using words in the subject or the body can you think of any way to identify what is a 'bouce back' email and adding it to the rule somehow.

I'm constantly adding new elements to the rule but it's now becoming a pain.

Cheers

Hi,

Sorry for the delayed response.
I've looked at the links provided.
However, I already have the auto response set up.
The problem is that it has suddenlt started to get itself in a loop.

I've trapped most of the standard responses and blocked them. However, I expectthere will be more at some point.

I did notice that by using an out of office message rather than a 'rule / alert' outlook does somehow remeber who they have already sent a response to.
THis may solve the problem for the major looping problems but does not handle a genuine miltiple thread of emails.

I'm prepared to see how it goes for now and really appreciat eyou response.
