Exchange 2010 sync errors to Outlook 2007/2010 clients

Hello,

I'm currently running a SBS 2011 server with Exchange 2010, and all client systems are Windows 7 Pro, w/ Outlook 2007/2010.

On all client systems with Outlook installed, everyone is getting sync errors, every 10 - 30 minutes.

We don't really understand what these errors mean at all.

Please view the attached screenshots from 2 separate client computers

uescompCommented:
messages are too big. so they will constanty fail when exchange attempts to sync

This is what you can do.

Open up outlook, go to cleanup utility (outlook 2010 > File tab > Info > Cleanup tools.

Under Find items change it to 999 kilobytes and choose find.  Look for the large/bulky messages and either delete them or move them to an archive on the system

This also depends on your rules, typically the general rule to standard exchange practices is anything over 10mb will not send/recieve etc.

Simplify Active Directory Administration

Administration of Active Directory does not have to be hard.  Too often what should be a simple task is made more difficult than it needs to be.The solution?  Hyena from SystemTools Software.  With ease-of-use as well as powerful importing and bulk updating capabilities.

Press Ctrl+right click Outlook icon in System Tray, select Connection Status.

Check to see what the status is or for any errors in there

These happened yesterday.. would they still show?
0

uescompCommented:
if they are still trying to sync yes, your 1st screenshot shows message is to large and failed to sync.  You will keep getting that message constantly until it is deleted or moved into an archive folder.  The other screenshot might be related to the failure

itellig1Author Commented:
So the second message I posted has to do with connection failures on the LAN?
0

uescompCommented:
Yes, but could be due to maybe outlook anywhere is enabled? Address might be incorrect for outlook anywhere.

When you do the connection status you will see if you are connected.

You can also Press Ctrl+right click Outlook icon in System Tray, Test Email Configuration.  Type in the users password, remove the check from guessmart ans secure guessmart auth and see if autodiscover is configured properly

See attached.

They do use Outlook Anywhere when they are outside the LAN.

I will try this other test now.

Did you remove that large email yet, looks like a sent item

itellig1Author Commented:
Yes, but we are getting these sync errors when emptying our Trash bin. Any ideas?

uescompCommented:
I want to think it is because you have a large email in the trash that did not write back to exchange because it was too large.  Here is what you can do.  Disconnect from exchange, search for the large emails, move the large emails to an archive.  move/delete all sync messages, reconnect to exchange.
